I got the Gadd DVD (at long last) last Wednesday and sat for several hours with a goofy smile on my face as I watched it. Loved every second of it.
I particularly enjoyed Duke's Lullaby - both on the night and the rehearsal footage. Nite Sprite sounded a little under-reheased IMHO but I still loved it.
This is my new favourite drum DVD.
Hmm, let's see. Last two purchases were an impulse eBay purchase of a no-name cheap Maple snare for ?40, onto which I popped Evans HD Dry and Hazy 300 heads and some 42-strand wires (mmm, nice); and the Billy Ward DVD (which I picked up at Music Live and which is excellent).
Previous less successful purchase was "To The Stars" which I am sad to report has singularly failed to grab me so far.

Today i received my Sony condenser mic for my minidisc... Can?t wait to start recording every practice session! [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
I just got a pair of Zyn hi-hats on Ebay for 30 quid..... they don't fit on my stand and sound a bit rubbish, oh well.
+ just got Phoenix Nights series 2 on DVD (one for all the UK Hodders)
Just bought a second hand 20in Custom Dry Ride from the Drum Shack in Clapham....love it.

I ordered 16 tom for my Renown Kit and Gadd DVD. Waiting for them.

btw - does anyone know of a friend or store that is selling a used silver sparkle finish (pre nouveau) maple absolute toms? i'm looking for a 12X8 tom or a 16x16 floor tom. thanks!!
